To the idli batter add little amount of veggie juices (Spinach for green, Beets for red, Blueberries for blue and turmeric for yellow). Maybe you can use carrots for yellow/orange too

Oh I loved this.. soooo easy and all edible too. The kids loved it.. predictably enough the daughter wants only pink and the son wants blue.. where do I get blueberries???? :-)
i love the veggie juice use...i never recommend use of artificial flavours and colours in food...however edible they may be
