Craft of the day - rainbow fish

Lil P is back from her vacation and our craft sessions have begun. I had attended a birthday party recently and some of the crepe ribbons were all crumpled and lying on the floor. Lil P tore the ribbons into tiny pieces and sorted them into tiny bowls. Then I gave her a purple glue stick that she loves to use. n here's the result. She did it all by herself.

Rainbow fish

Here's how we made it.
1. Take printout

2. Paste :)

What do u think of the new header & background. I'm still not too happy with it. Might change it in a day or two.

The header looks fine but the background image is not seen except for a moment while the page loads. maybe u shd work on it a little bit to get it right.

All in the genes. Am so happy u r bk Li'lP .. bcoz we get much more in this space then :) :)

@shankari.. its easy peasy n does not require monitoring. yes! the carpet had some glue but thankfully the glustick doesn't have too much tack. Do try it with na. n share the pics.

@priya: Lil p likes stuff where she doesn't have to get her hand dirty. :) Why can't u see the background??

@Swaram: what do u think of the look??

woww :) she did this all alone ? great :) cooool :)
even i can't see much of the back ground image.. just a teeny bit at the edges !

MindfulMeanderer on June 1, 2010 at 4:51 PM said...

@trish: I've not decided yet if i want to do an artsy craftsy henceforth. I'm still thinking.

@lavanya: Yup. I just want the teeny bit to be displayed not the whole. The whole look was looking too white.. so i just added color by showing off a small part of that background. It doesn't work rt?

By the way there is a lovely book called 'Rainbow Fish' by Marcus Pfister - you might want to get hold of it and read it to her. Have seen it in the local bookstores.

Fish looks super cute...so bright and colourful! We've done some newspaper art...same cutting and sticking technique, but not as colourful as this...
